The Opportunity
A Door of Hope Pregnancy Center is seeking a Director of Operations to provide trusted leadership for the day-to-day operations of the center, with a particular focus on client services, clinic flow, staff and volunteer leadership, and the overall client experience.
This is a highly relational and ministry-centered operations role. The Director of Operations will help ensure that clients receive excellent care while also providing structure, communication, and accountability for the staff and volunteers who serve them. The role is approximately 30–40% direct client interaction and 60–70% leadership, management, and center operations - so the right candidate should be prepared to carry a portion of the client load, model excellent client advocacy, and lead others in providing compassionate, gospel-centered care.
This position reports directly to the Executive Director and plays a key role in helping A Door of Hope operate professionally, smoothly, and according to best practices.
Ministry Purpose
This position plays a significant role in achieving the religious mission of the center and, thus, has a ministry purpose. Every staff member and volunteer shall serve this purpose in their job and, in doing so, be in an active ministry purpose with the center.
Primary Responsibilities
Center Operations and Ministry Leadership
Oversee the daily operations of the center, with a particular focus on client services, clinic flow, scheduling, documentation, building needs, and operational problem-solving. Ensure the center runs professionally, smoothly, safely, and in alignment with A Door of Hope’s policies, procedures, mission, and standards of care. Work closely with the Executive Director and Nurse Manager to maintain strong communication and consistent implementation of client services and medical policies and procedures. Provide leadership for day-to-day decisions related to appointments, staffing, volunteer coverage, client follow-up, and center operations. Oversee the client services portion of the budget and ensure spending remains within approved parameters. Monitor building needs, identify operational issues, and help ensure appropriate follow-through and resolution. Attend regular staff meetings and participate in fundraising events and community representation on behalf of the ministry.
Client Services and Direct Client Care
Carry a portion of the client load and serve as a model of excellent client advocacy for staff and volunteers. Ensure clients receive compassionate emotional, material, practical, and spiritual care. Support client follow-up, referrals, documentation, and next steps, especially for clients with complex or ongoing needs. Work with staff and volunteers to ensure accurate charting, strong communication, and appropriate follow-through for each client. Maintain current referral resources and educational materials for client and volunteer use. Enter client data into the center’s CRM according to policies and procedures, and train staff and volunteers to do the same. Be available to minister to the emotional and spiritual needs of clients, staff, and volunteers. Share the gospel when appropriate and reinforce the humanity and value of the unborn child with clients, guests, staff, volunteers, and others.
Staff and Volunteer Supervision
Supervise and train client services staff and volunteers. Provide direct oversight for the Hope Program Administrator, Client Services Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, Client Advocates, and client services volunteers. Partner with the Executive Director to hire, train, schedule, support, and evaluate client services staff and volunteers. Provide regular guidance, feedback, coaching, and accountability to staff and volunteers. Review written client work for accurate charting and documentation. Approve PTO requests and help manage staff scheduling for client services personnel. Conduct or support annual reviews for assigned staff in partnership with the Executive Director. Assist in recruiting, selecting, interviewing, orienting, and training new Client Advocate volunteers. Schedule and support volunteer in-service training and ongoing development.
