The HOPE Center, a faith-based nonprofit ministry, is seeking a compassionate and skilled PRN Sonographer to join our medical team. This person will provide ultrasounds under the supervision of the Medical Director, Executive Director, and Clinic Director. The Sonographer also works in conjunction with other staff and volunteers to assure that patients are receiving the best medical, nursing, and psychosocial care possible.

Possible hours may include but are not limited to Mondays 9-5:30pm, occasional Tuesdays 9-5:30pm, once a month Saturdays 9:45am-2pm

Requirements:

  • Maintain a current license (RN or RDMS) to include the provision of limited obstetrical ultrasound and CPR certification.
  • Have a minimum of one year’s experience in scanning, preferred.
  • Comply with the policies and procedures of The HOPE Center.
  • Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith, Core Values, Mission Statement, and Policies and Procedures of The HOPE Center.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment and dedication to a life-affirming position and sexual purity to include personal lifestyle choices.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and administrative skills.
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain professional liability insurance if serving in a volunteer capacity (as appropriate).
  • Ability to work at our Woodstock location and Mobile Unit as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Provide pregnancy tests and ultrasounds according to medical standards of care and the policies and procedures of The HOPE Center and Options Medical Clinic.
  • Take a basic health history and give information according to FOCUS nursing script.
  • Provide patient pregnancy counseling, education, and referrals.
  • Document clinical findings, observations, and medical services in patient record/electronic medical chart.
  • Review any clinical findings indicating concern for the viability of the pregnancy or the health of the mother with the Clinic Director or Medical Director.
  • Work together with the advocate and other medical staff to determine what the next step for the patient will be according to the patient process.
  • Comply with state and professional licensing and continuing education requirements.
  • Review Center policies and procedures annually and assure compliance with policies, infection control regulations, and safety procedures.

-Perform additional duties as requested.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Attend medical team meetings and discussions in evaluating the clinic services, policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Attend bi-monthly staff meetings.
  • Assist with fundraising events as requested.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
