Youth Ministry Coordinator

Position Overview

The Youth Ministry Coordinator plays a vital role in developing a comprehensive parish-based ministry for junior and senior high school youth, focusing on spiritual growth, service, and community engagement through weekly programs, leadership development, and faith formation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive youth ministry program, including weekly Life Nights, Edge Middle School nights, and spiritual retreats
• Recruit, train, and support volunteer youth leaders while ensuring compliance with diocesan safety regulations
• Create and manage youth ministry advisory group in collaboration with pastor and parish staff
• Facilitate youth leadership development and provide opportunities for service and spiritual growth
• Develop age-appropriate catechetical programs aligned with Church guidelines
• Coordinate liturgical celebrations and special events for youth
• Maintain communication with parents, parish community, and diocesan organizations
• Manage program budget and submit periodic reports to parish leadership

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Theology or Youth Ministry from an accredited college
• Minimum of three years of applicable youth ministry experience
• Active practicing Roman Catholic with current parish or diocesan ministry involvement
• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Demonstrated commitment to Catholic faith and Church teachings
• Ability to coordinate multiple programs and manage volunteer teams
