
Point Hope Student and Children's Ministry Leader
Job Description
Location: Clements Ferry Road, Wando, SC
Hours per week: Full time, 40 hours/weekly
Anticipated Start Date: Late September, new campus launching in December
This position reports to: Campus PastorThe mission: Seacoast Church goes all out in our mission to help others Find God, Grow your Faith, Discover your Purpose, and Make a Difference. Our Campus Next Gen Ministry Leader is passionate about connecting our kids (Infant to 5th grade) and students (Middle and High School), to Jesus by bringing the vision of these ministries to life!
Bring inspiration to the vision of Kidscoast and Custom at the Campus Level
Create life transforming opportunities for children, students, and families
Recruit, develop and invest in the Dream Team (volunteers)
Prepare and equip Small Group Leaders for the Weekend Experience
Lead weekly Kidscoast Campus meeting ensuring staff and volunteers are informed, encouraged, and supported
Build Kidscoast Dream Team ensuring vision buy-in and an understanding of expectations
Proactively communicate Kidscoast initiatives to the Campus, respond to all Connect Cards, emails and phone calls; write welcome letter to new kids/families
Create a standard of clean, stocked and decorated environments with safety and security procedures in place with check-in areas
Lead the Campus Childcare ministry, ensuring adequate staff for all ministry and campus events
Build the Custom Dream Team, creating leadership opportunities to meet the needs of your campus
Develop a relationship with students and connect them to a small group
Regularly communicate with Custom Parents, building relationships and providing parental counseling when necessary
Take ownership of growing attendance strategically and purposefully; maintain a presence in the local schools and at student events
Counsel students, as needs arise, and be on call for miscellaneous needs that may arise and need attention (hospital visits, detention centers, home visits, etc.)
Implement the provided small group curriculum and assist in facilitating leadership care, coaching, and structure for each small group
Lead and build ONE NIGHT (every 2nd Sunday)
Administrative and Team Expectations
Become an experienced Ministry Platform user (Church Database), creating events, distributing necessary communication, and tracking attendance
Complete Incident Reports, as necessary, for injured children or students
Work with the Campus Pastor to establish budget, reconciling monthly credit card and properly coding all ministry purchases
Attend weekly Campus meeting; attend 1-on-1 meetings set by Campus Pastor; attend monthly All-Staff meeting
Oversee the service flow, including worship, for children and student ministries.
Set-up check-in stations, record attendance, and ensure adequate volunteer staff
Special Duties: Visit Inside Track to share about Kidscoast and Custom volunteer opportunities; Coordinate Baby/Child dedication and family baptism celebrations
Pastoral Duties (if Licensed or Ordained Pastor)
Assist in pastoral counseling for families, students, or parents.
Assist in officiating weddings, funerals, baptisms
