Coordinator of Youth Ministry

Position Overview

The Coordinator of Youth Ministry leads comprehensive faith formation programs for junior high and high school students at Notre Dame Parish, empowering young people to become intentional disciples of Jesus Christ through relational ministry and age-appropriate catechesis.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement Life Teen (9-12th grade) and Edge (6-8th grade) youth programming, including retreats, service projects, special events, and liturgies
• Recruit, train, and support volunteer Core Teams while ensuring Safe Environment standards are met
• Develop leadership opportunities for youth participants and promote family engagement in faith formation
• Manage digital and physical records of youth participation and attendance
• Facilitate summer programming including mission trips, conferences, Bible studies, and social gatherings
• Collaborate with Director of Faith Formation to integrate post-Confirmation youth into ongoing ministry
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and teens through digital and print media
• Support parish-wide formation events and liturgical celebrations

Required Qualifications

• Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with an active prayer life
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Completion of safe environment training and background check
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent coursework in Theology, Catechesis, or related field
