ACPE PRN Chaplain

Position Overview

As an ACPE PRN Chaplain at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, you will provide compassionate spiritual care to patients, families, associates, and visitors, embodying our mission of caring for the community with excellence and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pastoral care and counseling to patients, family members, and visitors across diverse backgrounds
• Offer spiritual support and counseling to associates and medical staff during challenging moments
• Demonstrate initiative in professional development and enhancing chaplaincy competencies
• Respond to assignments and requests from leadership as needed
• Apply advanced chaplaincy principles and techniques in healthcare settings
• Minister effectively to individuals experiencing spiritual crisis or emotional distress

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Theology
• Two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) accredited by The Association for Clinical Pastoral Education
• 1-3 years of faith-based ministry experience, including at least one year in church, synagogue, temple, or similar setting
• Functional knowledge of major religious principles
• Ordination, licensing, or commissioning by a recognized faith group for healthcare chaplaincy
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively across diverse backgrounds
