Catholic Religious Education Coordinator

Position Overview

McColm & Company is seeking a dedicated Catholic Religious Education Coordinator to support the chapel community at Grand Forks Air Force Base, responsible for planning, managing, and delivering comprehensive religious education programs for children, youth, and adults.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all Catholic Religious Education programs, including First Communion, Confirmation, Reconciliation, Vacation Bible School, and retreats
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers, ensuring background checks and child protection training are completed
• Coordinate facility use, manage supplies, and prepare annual Catholic RE handbook
• Collaborate with Protestant RE Coordinator for joint programs and initiatives
• Prepare and manage Religious Education budgets and material procurement
• Attend biweekly chapel staff and Catholic Advisory Council meetings
• Submit sacramental records to the Archdiocese for the Military Services
• Maintain 8 weekly office hours at Grand Forks Air Force Base

Required Qualifications

• One year of relevant experience (military chapel experience preferred)
• Catechist certification by Archdiocese for the Military Services (to be completed upon hire)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to reside within 100 miles of the base and provide own transportation
• Must pass federal, state, and installation background checks
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
