Position Overview

Jovie of Phoenix is seeking experienced and caring church sitters to provide nurturing childcare during Sunday morning services in the Chandler area (85248), offering a rewarding opportunity to work with children in a supportive church environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure child safety by closely monitoring children, preventing accidents, and following emergency procedures
• Prepare and serve age-appropriate meals and snacks, maintaining proper nutrition and hydration
• Manage diapering, toileting assistance, and hygiene for infants and young children
• Supervise and lead engaging activities including playtime, crafts, reading, and educational tasks
• Provide emotional support by comforting children and maintaining a nurturing environment
• Manage nap schedules for babies and toddlers during church services
• Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on child's behavior and activities

Required Qualifications

• Long-term commitment to the church sitter position
• Minimum 1+ years of professional childcare experience with children of various ages
• 2-3 professional (non-family) childcare references
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
• Must be 18 years or older
