Job Description

Church Sitter Position - Compensation: $16.50-17.00/hr

Jovie of Phoenix has just the right job for those looking to work with fun kiddos as a church sitter! We are looking for experienced and qualified caregivers to join our team and help service a church in the Chandler area (85248)!  Caregiver schedule would be every Sunday Morning (usual hours fall within 8:30AM-2:00PM), and would be a consistent need!

Compensation and Benefits: + Pay: $16.75 - $17.25 per hour, paid bi-weekly via direct deposit.

• Ensuring Safety – Monitoring children closely to prevent accidents, keeping hazardous items out of reach, and following emergency procedures.
• Feeding and Snack Preparation – Preparing and serving age-appropriate meals and snacks, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
• Diapering and Toileting Assistance – Changing diapers for infants and toddlers, assisting young children with toilet training, and promoting hygiene.
• Supervising Activities – Engaging children in age-appropriate activities, including playtime, crafts, reading, and educational tasks.
• Providing Emotional Support – Comforting upset children, offering positive reinforcement, and maintaining a nurturing environment.
• Managing Nap Schedules – Putting babies and toddlers down for naps while parents are in church service.
• Communicating with Parents – Providing updates on the child's behavior, activities, and any concerns while following parental instructions.
• Ability to commit long term to this position
• 1+ years of professional childcare experience with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or school-aged children (reflected in your resume).
• 2-3 professional childcare references. (Non-Family Related)
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation of your own.
