Gospel Baptist Church exists to make and mature disciples in our neighborhood and the nations. Located in northern Greensboro, Gospel is a growing, multigenerational church with a heart for faithful preaching, loving community, intentional outreach, Christ-centered worship, and gospel impact both locally and globally.

Over the past couple years, Gospel has experienced significant growth and momentum, averaging around 500 people on Sunday mornings across two worship services. Gospel is a Southern Baptist-aligned church with a strong commitment to expositional preaching, biblical authority, missions, and discipleship. This is a dynamic and growing church on mission to make and mature disciples for the glory of God.

The Opportunity

Gospel Baptist Church is seeking a full-time Worship Pastor to lead, shepherd, and strengthen the worship ministry of the church. This role is not simply about planning songs or leading music. It is a pastoral leadership role focused on helping the congregation worship God with reverence, joy, biblical depth, and active participation.

The Worship Pastor will work closely with the Senior Pastor and staff to plan and lead worship services that exalt Christ, support the preaching of God’s Word, encourage believers, and proclaim the gospel. Gospel currently offers two Sunday morning worship services with different musical expressions: a Blended Worship Service led by a worship leader, choir, piano, and instrumental ensemble, and a Modern Worship Service led by a worship leader, vocal team, and worship band.

The right candidate will be able to lead well in both environments, navigate a multigenerational congregation with humility and emotional intelligence, and develop a healthy worship culture where volunteers are equipped, and the congregation is encouraged in worship.
