OVERVIEW

Church at the Cross is excited to announce its Summer Events & Outreach Internship Program! This internship is designed to help expand the reach and impact of CATC through strategic events, community outreach, and guest engagement initiatives. Interns will gain hands-on experience in planning, coordinating, and executing church-wide events while helping create environments where people can encounter Jesus. This is a great opportunity to grow in leadership, organization, and ministry impact within a fast-paced, growing church.

I. QUALIFICATIONS:

· Heart for serving the Lord and advancing the mission of the local church

· Strong interest in event planning, outreach, guest experience, or ministry leadership

· Passion for reaching people in the community with the gospel

· Highly organized and detail-oriented

· Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

· Flexible, adaptable, and willing to serve with a "whatever it takes" attitude

· Strong follow-through and ability to complete tasks with excellence

· Ability to build healthy, appropriate relationships with students, parents, volunteers, and staff

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Teachable spirit and a willingness to receive coaching and feedback

II. RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assist in the planning, preparation, and execution of church-wide events and outreach initiatives

· Support logistics including setup, teardown, vendor coordination, and volunteer organization

· Help coordinate outreach efforts in the local community

· Assist with guest services strategy and creating welcoming environments for first-time guests

· Communicate event details clearly with staff and volunteer teams

· Help evaluate events and identify opportunities for improvement

· Attend meetings, planning sessions, and team trainings as required

· Represent Church at the Cross with professionalism and Christ-like character

General Expectations:

· Teachable, enthusiastic, and eager to grow in leadership and ministry skills

· Maintain flexible working hours based on ministry needs

· Attend regular church, school, and team staff meetings as required

· Communicate clearly regarding schedules, responsibilities, and progress

· Complete projects and responsibilities within reasonable timeframes

· Proficient with basic technology and communication tools

· Aligned with Church at the Cross vision, values, and policies

· Works well within a team-based ministry environment

· Must pass a fingerprint background check

This position is expected to be on campus Sunday from 8am-12:30pm, and at least 2 other days Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm. Plan on working 15-20hrs per week. This is a 12 week internship.
