High School Ministry Intern

Job Description

Vision for the roleThe candidate will come alongside the High School and College Pastors and participate in teaching, brainstorming, coordinating, and executing events while learning the ins and outs of the ministry area.

Responsibilities:● For High School ministry:○ Provide leadership at events and high school services○ Potentially go through a youth ministry book together with the highschool pastor○ Learn how to budget, plan a calendar, and other administrative responsibilities● Other:○ Observe various ministries within the life of the church○ Engage in weekly staff meetings and other planning meetings for exposure to staffculture and habits○ Engage in ministry-minded conversations with curated staff, volunteers and localleaders

Key Deliverables:● Upon completion of the internship term, provide a written report or journal of keylearning about the Church, ministry, and personal challenges and growth● Learn the ins and outs of the behind-the-scenes work of the ministry area● Build relationships within the staff

Qualifications:1. A growing relationship with Jesus Christ as evidenced by spiritual intimacy, exercising gifts,fruit of the spirit, generous stewardship, and a burden for the lost.2. A personal call to the mission and vision of First Alliance Church.3. Excellent people skills- able to get along well with others, genuine humility andauthenticity, serve on a team, and lead teams of people5. Excellent Communication skills and Flexibility6. Possesses administrative skills and the ability to respond promptly to communication duringbusiness hours.7.
