The Youth Pastor is responsible for leading, discipling, and nurturing the spiritual growth of middle school and high school students. This role focuses on developing engaging youth ministry programs, fostering a Christ-centered community, and partnering with parents and church leadership to guide young people in their faith journey.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee weekly youth services, Bible studies, and small group sessions
Develop and implement age-appropriate discipleship programs aligned with the church’s vision
Build meaningful relationships with youth and provide pastoral care and counseling
Recruit, train, and manage youth ministry volunteers
Plan and coordinate youth events, retreats, camps, and outreach activities
Collaborate with senior pastors, worship leaders, and ministry teams
Encourage youth participation in church-wide services and community initiatives
Maintain regular communication with parents regarding programs and student progress
Manage the youth ministry budget and resources responsibly
Qualifications & Requirements
Strong personal faith and commitment to Christian values
Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Ministry, Biblical Studies, or a related field (preferred)
Prior experience in youth ministry, pastoral leadership, or church-related roles
Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
Ability to connect with youth from diverse backgrounds
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and attend church events
Background check clearance as required by church policy
