Description

The Support Staff at Bethel Christian School plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment for students before school, during recess, lunch, outdoor activities, and after-care. This position supports the spiritual, social, and physical development of students, fostering an atmosphere where Christian values guide behavior and interactions.

Position Type: part-time

Hours: 25 hours per week

Salary: $16,500.00 per school year ($16.50 per hour)

Requirements

• Student Supervision: Monitor students on the playground, in outdoor areas, and in designated eating spaces to ensure safety, respect, and adherence to school rules.
• Christian Character Development: Model Christ-like behavior, encouraging students to resolve conflicts, show kindness, and practice forgiveness in their interactions.
• Safety and Guidance: Promote and enforce school safety guidelines, intervening in conflicts and addressing inappropriate behavior with patience and compassion.
• Positive Engagement: Foster a supportive, inclusive environment where all students feel valued and respected as children of God.
• Incident Reporting: Document and report any accidents, injuries, or conflicts to the appropriate school staff promptly.
• Emergency Response: Act quickly and appropriately in emergency situations, following established school protocols for student safety.
• Spiritual Encouragement: Use teachable moments to reinforce Christian principles, encouraging students to live out their faith.
• Communication: Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to maintain a consistent, Christ-centered learning environment.
