As a Paraprofessional at Bethel Christian School, you will play a critical role in supporting classroom teachers, enhancing the learning experience for students, and nurturing a positive, Christ-centered environment. You will work closely with students, provide personalized support, and assist in the day-to-day operations of the classroom. This position is ideal for someone passionate about education and eager to make a meaningful impact in a faith-driven setting.
Position Type: Part Time
Hours: 20 per week
Salary: $13,200.00 per school year ($16.50 per hour)
Anticipated Start Date: August 4th, 2025
Instructional Support:
- Assist lead teachers in delivering lessons and reinforcing learning objectives.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional guidance.
- Help prepare instructional materials and classroom activities.
Student Engagement:
- Encourage student participation and foster a love for learning.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
- Assist in managing classroom behavior and promoting positive discipline.
Spiritual Development:
- Model Christian values in words and actions.
- Support the spiritual growth of students through prayer, mentorship, and daily interactions.
- Participate in chapel services, Bible studies, and other faith-based activities as needed.
Classroom Management:
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Support the teacher in implementing individualized learning plans for students.
- Assist in managing student records, grading, and communication with parents as directed.
Professional Development:
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Stay informed about best practices in education and faith-based teaching.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Prior experience in an educational setting is a plus.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to work with children.
- Commitment to the mission and values of a Christian educational environment.
- Strong understanding of Bethel Culture and Core Values.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the classroom for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds.
