Hospice Chaplain / Spiritual Counselor- Per Diem

Position Overview

BAYADA New Jersey Hospice seeks a compassionate Per Diem Hospice Chaplain / Spiritual Counselor to provide spiritual support and emotional care to patients and families in Atlantic and Cape May Counties, NJ.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement personalized spiritual care plans for hospice patients
• Provide comprehensive spiritual and emotional support to patients and their family members
• Complete patient documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in bereavement services for families, referral sources, and community support
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a professional, compassionate attitude
• Travel within the designated coverage area as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Counseling or Divinity strongly preferred
• One year of experience in spiritual counseling within a healthcare setting, preferably hospice or palliative care
• Chaplain Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) certification preferred
• Willingness to travel within the assigned coverage area
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
