Staff Chaplain NEX
Position Overview
As a Staff Chaplain at American Addiction Centers, you will provide compassionate spiritual care and support to patients, families, and hospital personnel, delivering person-centered ministry across various healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide spiritual care services, consultation, and support to patients, families, physicians, and hospital personnel in accordance with department policies
- Facilitate sacramental ministries, including Holy Communion, Baptism, Confession, and Sacrament of the Sick
- Respond to medical emergencies, codes, deaths, and critical incidents
- Support hospital personnel during patient deaths and critical events
- Assist families with healthcare needs, understanding medical procedures, and advance directives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in patient care planning meetings
- Conduct chapel and memorial services as scheduled
- Represent and interpret the organization's mission and values in clinical responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Master of Divinity or equivalent Master's program
- Four completed units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
- Ecclesiastical endorsement from religious faith community
- 1-3 years of clinical chaplaincy experience
- Strong communication and therapeutic interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Board certification candidate within 18 months of hire
