Short Term Missions Bookkeeper

Position Overview

The Short-Term Missions Bookkeeper will provide critical financial support to Christian Veterinary Mission's global mission volunteers, managing financial accounts and administrative tasks for nearly 1,000 volunteers across 100+ trips to 30 countries annually.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and accurately manage short-term missions fundraising accounts, collecting and recording financial data with precision
• Communicate effectively with hosts, trip leaders, and volunteers regarding trip fees, reimbursements, and financial documentation
• Purchase emergency medical insurance for all mission volunteers and manage comprehensive trip paperwork
• Maintain financial accountability for mission trip finances using accounting software
• Support CVM's ministry by participating in staff meetings, planning activities, and representing the mission program
• Affirm and uphold CVM's core organizational documents and Christian mission values

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college (accounting, Christian ministry, missions preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in bookkeeping and accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willing to learn specialized software
• Strong remote work capabilities with reliable internet and dedicated workspace
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Commitment to CVM's Statement of Faith and Christian mission principles
