Chaplain PRN

Position Overview

The PRN (On-Call, Shift-Pay) Chaplain provides compassionate spiritual care to patients, families, and staff at AdventHealth, extending the healing ministry of Christ by offering sensitive and supportive pastoral support across multiple campuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-call ministry support for one or multiple campuses, available for a minimum of 7 shifts per month (including weeknights and weekends)
• Respond to referrals from physicians and nurses, and address spiritual care requests from patients and family members
• Minister to patients, families, and staff with cultural sensitivity and respect for individual traditions and beliefs
• Perform special duties as assigned by the campus Chaplain manager
• Provide compassionate spiritual care and support during critical moments of patient and staff experiences

Required Qualifications

• Level 1 PRN Chaplain Requirements: Master of Divinity/Theology/Religion or equivalent
• Level 2 PRN Chaplain Requirements: 4-year degree in Theology/Religion or equivalent
• One (1) Unit of CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) accredited by ACPE
• Active endorsement by a local congregation
